We appreciated truly special views!
We got a room with a Jacuzzi. The location was nice rural and peaceful, not too far from Supervalu Castleconnell.

ALL staff friendly, breakfast buffet fab, bar food lovely and inexpensive. Easter Camp children 4-12. Treatment Rooms lovely girls. beautiiful riverside setting and nice walks. Didn't leave area from check-in to check out. Very relaxing and child-friendly. Children cannot wait to return SOON!!!
Swimming pool closes to children at 6pm which is quite early for anyone who may go on day trips and wish to have a swim before dinner..maybe 7 would make a difference as it is too awkward to let them go in the morning after breakfast and then wash and dry the hair before going out.

Really enjoyed having free and delicious breakfast.
It was in a nice rural and very scenic location with Fairy Woods nearby.

The rollercoaster I didn't see coming
The staff was friendly, and their attentiveness added a personal touch. The grounds were beautiful.
Despite the lovely setting, the breakfast service was inconsistent and at times frustrating, with awkward food availability causing disappointment.

Liked free breakfasts!!
This hotel exceeded all expectations! The venue was reasonably clean and quaint, had exceptionally helpful staff and nicely decorated rooms. Booked a room with special views of the lake. The hotel had a riverside setting in the tennis courts. Fairy Woods was also easy to reach...

I have stayed at this hotel many times and my daughter had her wedding reception there. I like the homely athmosphere about the place and all of the above points.
Yes, I was confused by the restaurant menu. Despite not having all courses we were charged the full amount. I would have liked to see an a la carte menu being available

The gardens offered a lovely setting for a summer walk, and the suite was clean and warm. The service left much to be desired. Staff interactions were often abrupt and dismissive, particularly during brunch when the waitress seemed overwhelmed and uninterested. Communication regarding room check-out times was handled insensitively. Although the potential of the place is noticeable, the experience was marred by poor service.

Tidy and airy room with climate control, an iron and television. Modern design, very comfy beds. Location just next door to a park, city center and the Shannon river. Also, unable to comment on everything:)))

The smoked guinea fowl at the restaurant was divine-so juicy and smoky, it was a total revelation! Plus, the staff were super friendly, especially Josephine at breakfast. The vibe of the hotel really gave off that cozy, cute energy.
We were slapped with a whopping E150 for a dog, and the apartment they tossed us into was a bit of a dump. Not to mention the local lads causing a ruckus by the window-no late-night peace here!

It,s one of irelands old world hidden gems in a secluded site surrounded by wonderful views of the hills of County Clare to the front and the Silvermine mountain range to the back. To the front of the hotel the glorious River Shannon meanders gracefully at the end of the gardens, adding to the peaceful quality of this hotel, the reason we've stayed here three times before. The very friendly staff is always at hand to meet what ever needs we may have. The food served is always home made and delicious across the board from the restaurant to the bar food menu and the breakfast is always a real treat. The hotel is family friendly, my children always like it here.
The hotel does not have a lift and there are quite alot of steps to negotiate to get to the bedrooms with some steps along one corridor as well. When flushing the toilets there is a loud sound made and this can be a disadvantage especially in the silence of night. The camp beds for children if needed are realy only suited for young children to the age of 9 or so in my opinion.

We were given an 2 bedroom apartment for the same price as our family room, which we had found to be very small. This was very good value and a pleasant stay. We stayed 2 nights to visit with family in Castleconnell. We had supper in the bar and it and the breakfasts were very good. The decor is very nice and the gardens and location lovely.
Our 3 person family room was very small and not terribly exciting decor. Perhaps the rooms are ready for a redecoration soon.
